San antonio bobs steak and chophouse. Darioush was better at that pricepoint. Nuttier and spicier than darioush. — 6 years ago
Similar to the Darioush, Del Dotto’s signature style comes through here with big and bold flavors. 6-7yrs on this has probably helped tone it down as it wasn’t super in the face. Good acidity. Baked mixed berry pie, cedar, peppercorn covered black cherries. Fairly sweet for a pinot. — 6 years ago
Darioush Sauvignon blanc - light and tasty. Good. But I think I like spring mtn better 2016 — 8 years ago
Ordered this from home, not while in Napa. — 8 years ago
Deep ruby. Black fruit. Jammy. M acid. M body and M front tannin. Good structure. Balanced. — 9 years ago
No confusing this with an Old World Chardonnay. Lemon notes help tame this prototypical big Napa Chardonnay. Butter? Yup. Oak? Yup. Tropical? Yup. It just manages to pull it all together and not be too toasty or tropical. If you like big Napa Chardonnay, you will enjoy it, especially given that Darioush isn’t particularly known for their Chardonnay. Drinking nicely now and probably near peak, though not showing any noticeable signs of imminent danger. — 4 years ago
We’re tasting Pinots today and this was the overall favorite, although Darioush was a close runner up. Also tasted were Morey-St-Denis, chateau de la greffiere, stoller, and chehalem. Great afternoon. Loved the nose, the color, and the depth. — 7 years ago
Color me impressed by this baby Quintessa. For a 2015, this was amazingly accessible. Personally, I think this is the best Faust vintage I’ve had to date. Nose was more floral than jammy, with violets, blackberries, nutmeg and some blueberries. Well balanced and approachable on the palate, with a nice black cherry/blueberry finish.
As a side note, there is a new label change starting with the 2015. Almost looks like a Darioush label 🤔. — 7 years ago
The second 2013 napa cab I drank tonight and one I preferred over the Darioush. Great structure to this wine, fruit forward with notes of blueberries and licorice. Not as oaky as the other Napa cab, well balanced and tasting exquisitely right now. — 8 years ago
Smooth. Good compliment to the Darioush. Trending up. — 6 years ago
Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!
Ashes & Diamonds...blast from the past! Retro style. Son of Darioush is the owner here. Open until 7PM...definitely aiming towards us Millennials. This was their most left bank Bordeaux-style wine. Loads of red & black underripe fruit with mushroom, truffle oil, plum, and cigar smoke. Smooth yet structured. All of their wines are definitely a throw back to a different era. — 6 years ago
2007 is one of the best white wines I’ve had — 7 years ago
I love this Merlot. Welcome back you wonderful wine to the world that has forgotten you. This is a big merlot with a deep dark color and nose that strongly suggests tar, cigar box and all things hearty!! Long finish, luxurious....brilliant. — 8 years ago
Hard to give it dull@marks following a 2012 Darioush Cab, but otherwise quite nice. — 9 years ago

Ripe, rich, round, and concentrated with juicy black fruit, next to cinnamon, nutmeg, cedar, vanilla, dill, and leather notes; also high alcohol and velvety tannins.
