Cherry, raspberry, that Cola touch that I like in great Beaujolais, hay, an earthy thing too. Wow this is very inviting. The palate is very well made. Strong acid backbone, cherry and raspberry all along, very wide and spherical mid palate that powers up a very long fruity finish that goes on for a a very long time. Gosh I love great crus Beaujolais made like this. — 8 months ago
Columbia County 2.0: interesting drinking this day after a German Pinot, as I found them surprisingly related. A fave Beaujo producer’s Morgon, also a cooler tone & elegant. Blackberries & cassis, darker berries and a fine grittiness to integrated tannins. I like this drinking window (6 yrs) but imagine several if not more left. — a year ago

2006 vintage. Garnet color, some primary fruit (red cherry, black cherry, plum), but now showing lots of tertiary notes (leather, tobacco, dried herbs, dried fig, prune). 14.5% alcohol, medium acidity, full body. 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre. — 6 months ago

Interesting. Some age on it now and a lovely amber color. Rich and oxidative. Not where my tastes have evolved but really quite good. — 2 years ago

Nose has recently cut yellow apple, fresh pineapple, cane sugar and faint beeswax.
Palate has tart/under-ripe pineapple/yellow apple, lemon zest with mild chalky notes; plenty of acid to keep the palate lively. A great vintage for white Burgundy; A standout bottle from a heavily diminished case.
Paired with boneless chicken thighs, gnocchi, Parmesan cream sauce and kale from the garden (picked today, January!). — 5 months ago
