Ruby colored liquid in my glass. Hints of cherry pie on the nose. Flavors of tart cherries, red plums and baking spices. Beautiful acidity. A very balanced wine. This is my last regular bottle of CP wine. I do have a VS Pinot which I will sit on for a while. Glad other wineries are making really good wines from the Clos Pepe vineyard. — 7 years ago

This wine has it all... has converted me to having faith in the potential of American Pinots. Nose is strong violets with undifferentiated fruit. Dayum son! Full throttle and then some - but still somehow retains a sense of balance and complexity. Rich, lush, over the top fruit is balanced by an almost ethereal scent of spring flowers and a kiss of oak. Hedonistic in the best sense and another example of why Bevan is king. Please do yourself a favor and track some of this down, even if you aren't a fan of Pinot. Your palate will thank you. — 8 years ago
