The steamy finessed intricate pink bubbles tease you as they dance around the glass hypnotising you to take a sip of the deep clear amber, shining copper & salmon love juice. The nose seduces with a powerful floral cherry red berry smokey soil leafy peachy brioche mist. Helplessly your palette succumbs to a smooth rich strawberry peach & red berry biscuity mousse caress that teases you to take another as the kiss lingers on and on. I thought the 96 pink DP was hot but this is X-rated! Drank in a Zalto Burgundy glass & decanted.

2014,,, Jolie-Laide, Fannucchi Road Vineyard, Sonoma County, Trousseau Gris. One of the most gorgeous wines ever (color). A rich, shimmering copper. This is aging well. Much better than the first bottle that I opened for Mother's Day last year. Bright, tart strawberry and a hint of tangerine. Just a great patio wine on a crisp Spring evening. One bottle left. After a good decant the Old Poodle Dog Cab (from Coho wines- a serious favorite) opens to a plush & sweet little beauty. A bright nose of cherries and some lavish oak roll onto the palate with an open and lively character. All-in, the Old Poodle Dog is a friendly, juicy Napa Cab that can be (thoroughly) enjoyed this very moment with a little bit of a decant and a juicy cheeseburger. — 10 years ago

1998 vintage Rose Dom Ruinart. 15% Pinot red wine. The rest is Blanc de Blancs. Medium salmon, edging towards copper. Very elegant and fresh. Low dosage - 5g? Red currant, wild strawberry, some earthy notes. Iron / copper sulphate aromas which I find alluring. On the palate, medium bodied, medium plus concentration, integrated acidity, elegant and angular. Clean as a whistle - too young to open? I think so. But very enjoyable now. — 11 years ago

Color of dark amber. Nice nose of green apple, spice, mint, ripe banana, and aldehyde. Taste of condensed brown sugar, toffee, a bit spice, a bit minty, and very smooth.
