Radovan obviously makes excellent wines. After refosco, which was a really pleasent surprise, I’ve tried this CS, which is even better. A typical fruit forward relatively young cab, with some herbal notes and oak. Medium aftertaste. Made in Istria, but with all characteristics of continental climate CS. — 7 years ago

This wine is purefantasy :-) — 9 years ago
The wine is deep ruby colour. On the nose the wine has pronounced intensity aromas with primary aromas of black fruit (blackberry, black cherry, black plum); secondary aromas of oak (vanilla, cloves, coconut, cedar) and Malolactic conversion (butter, cream); and tertiary aromas of dried fruit (prune), earth and meat.
On the palate the wine is dry with high acidity, high fine grained tannins and medium alcohol. The wine has pronounced intensity flavours with primary flavours of black fruit (blackberry, black cherry, black plum); secondary flavours of oak (vanilla, cloves, coconut, cedar) and Malolactic conversion (butter, cream); and tertiary flavours of dried fruit (prune), earth and meat.
The wine is full bodied and has a long finish.
The wine is outstanding. The wine is balanced with ripe, rich and dried black fruit supported by a high acidity and medium alcohol and while tannic, the tannins are fine-grained. The wine has a long finish that is full of flavor. The aromas and the flavours are pronounced and full of nuanced tertiary aromas and flavours. It is showing typicity of an old-world continental moderate climate/vintage Syrah. — 5 years ago
One of the best merlots I’ve tried in my life. Having that in mind, price of about 14 € a bottle is very reasonable. — 7 years ago

Expected more of the 2012 National Wine Show Trophy winner for Shiraz although at $15 great QPR. Cool climate continental Shiraz from the developing Gundagai district- similar terroir to nearby Canberra district. Aromatic spicy nose - medium weight minerally palate with moderate length. Short term collaring. — 9 years ago
After 2 most prominent Istrian malvasias it's time for the most famous Croatian grasevina-Krauthaker. Nice deep straw yellow with greenish rim. First impression on the nose is just wow! Intense apples and pears and underneath peach, grapefruit and some floral hints. The dominance of each fruity aspect changes with time. Easy drinking but not simple. Nice composition and balance with light salty minerality and a varietal typical bitter finish. Bites of CO2 help enhance the fresh side of this grasevina. 89 — 9 years ago
With very good sushi and such. The perfect match. Echigo wasn't available in the continental states until recently. So glad it's becoming a staple. — 9 years ago
Stunning. A fascinating nose and smoothe, soft, complex finish. Their signature. — 6 years ago
Dark crimson in colour. Notes of cedar, cigar box, mulberry and blackberry but not too much of the latter. Tannins resolved. The wine is in a good place at 13 years and my last bottle. Great value at around $30. A good example of continental Cabernet from the Canberra district. Pretty much equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Clonakilla better known these days for its stellar Shiraz Viognier. — 7 years ago
My first Croatian?! Interesting to say the least, the biotryus/noble rot easily identifiable; petrol, beeswax, but without the viscosity.Kinda cool. — 7 years ago
Classic Continental Merlot. Black currant, cherry, and a little cocoa on the front and an earthy finish. Excellent! — 8 years ago
