Nose: white flowers. Lemon. Mountain meadow. A hint of sponti.

Palate: so clean. Drinking a mountain stream. Finely powders minerals. Lemon flowers.

More than the sum of its parts. It has an elegance.

This wine seems to oscillate between very dense meursault and a wispy chassagne like thing from vintage to another. A huge swing.

@delectable Vini Marino fiano. Vendemmia tardiva

On open nose is a bit earthy. Mineral. A pleasant hint of porcini.

Palate has great tropical fruit. Very mineral. Great mouthfeel. Just feels luxurious. Really caresses the palate. Almost like a very good meursault. Delicious. A hint of unctuous was but in a good way. Just a kiss of an echo of honey tang that balances it out. Some lovely saltiness. — 4 years ago

Classic nose. Huge tar, dark black cherry and black berry, gorgeous rusty tin, earthy and very mineral. Super aromatic. Wow. What finesse and elegance. Superb power and concentration but such a light footed wine for Aglianico. So juicy and elegant with amazing purity and sap. Lovely. Really a mind expanding wine. Would never have guessed Aglianico or 2008 or 15%. Quite herby and earthy but with some core of fruit too - long finish with good acid. Lovely mouthfeel as well. And a great pairing with Marcella Hazan’s long cooked bolognese. — 2 years ago
