Plum and dark fruit on nose, cola and anise with lingering finish. Full bodied for a Rhone blend. — 11 years ago

Opaque violet color with appealing graphite, toast, smoke, black fruit, and spice aromas. On the palate it medium-bodied, fresh and harmoniously structured with a supple texture, and well integrated fine tannins with black cherry, black raspberry, a hint of dark roast coffee, and subtle spice flavor accented with an wonderful minerality. Long finish. 15.5% alcohol — 12 years ago

Hoi Polloi Alta Collena Syrah 2014. A warm climate rich syrah, turns to velvet in decanter, long finish, great tannic structure. Tasted it at the open house of the winery over and over and over again — 9 years ago

Really good taste and bought from Asda for great price. — 11 years ago
Repressed tannic wine. Great to drink young. Doesn't need to age for more than a few years after the year. (From the wine maker) nice volcanic smoky ashy tar flavor. Nice floral tones to this wine. Aromatic. The fruit isn't jammy that has nice fruit flavors. Not too bitter. More approachable than many strong cab francs that you may typically get in Napa. Nice soft finish. — 11 years ago
Great, different wine.

A great white one from Rueda, Spain. Old sauvignon blanc vines not the typical variety from Rueda. Silky, fresh, tropical fruits, honey hints. Tonight we have paired it with barnacles, king prawn and sea snails. Probably one of the best variety wine from Spain. — 10 years ago
The good example of a fascinating California wine - strange name, strange story, strange flavor but really great quality. The medium to heavy body wine starts with a flowery nose, dry first impression, than hits you with amazing and long lasting tropical flavor reminiscent of orange and cream. Very good, very different. Vive la difference! — 11 years ago
Great natural varietals. Floral. Was harvested naturally no added water. The more natural flavors of cab sauv. Harvested wary to get the flavor is the grapes. Organic. Nice dark fruits. Tobacco leaf, blackberry earth, beautiful soft dark fruit flavors. Nice soft luscious tannins. Aromas of dark fruit, bramble and a touch of earth and dried sage. Not overly dry. Not the typical California standard. No new oak. — 11 years ago
Surprisingly good for Boxing Day. — 12 years ago
Delicious sparkling Malvasia made at a commune/rehab commune in Emilia-Romagna. Those folks made a fun and way too easy to drink bubbly. Way to go hippies in recovery! — 12 years ago
