Blend of equal amounts of local red grapes; Caino, Espadeiro and Loueiro, Ruby red color with aromas of red fruits, herb, floral and cigar box notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with tobacco, oak and garden herbs. Medium+ finish, chalky tannins, savory, ending with herbs, spice, cedar and slight fruit, savory. Nice, will continue to age. — 9 months ago
Drank last night and don’t remember the full profile but damn good. Good fruit with very subtle to nonexistent tannins. Good length. Last bottle and better than last one opened. Drink 2005 brunellos now. — 5 years ago
This is great! I finally found a wine to match my personality! — 5 years ago
Smells of plum and blackberries, thyme, and leather. Medium-high acid, medium body, high tannins. Bright cherry, juicy. Doesn't have the same heavy smokey quality that weighs fine many zinfandels. — 6 years ago
Wow! The nose on this is spectacular. Wild blueberries, spices, fresh walk in the woods, and flowers. The feel and flavor in the mouth are so great. More blueberries, herbs, spices with perfectly integrated tannins. A balance between bandol and new world. — 7 years ago
Crisp and dry. Paired nicely with the roasted Brussels sprouts and Nancy Cakes (corn cakes with whipped bitter and smoked trout roe). — 8 years ago
Classic example of a well-made Mencia. — a year ago
My last bottle from the defunct yet memorable winery.
Smells so delicious, like a fruit yogurt
This drinks like it is fresh, with blackberry bramble, subtle and unique red fruits tucked behind the leather ones.
Tannins are still very gripping, and the acidity tames it back. A touch of heat and its off to the races! — 3 years ago
Got much better. It needed to open up. — 6 years ago

Excellent orange wine- preferred slightly cooled, aired out in a decanter — 7 years ago
Cloudy, zippy, well-balanced, and an excellent value prosecco! Will definitely be buying more of this. — 8 years ago
Ceccherini Cristiano
The winery is the only one situated on the Cartizze Hill.
They only make Valdobbiadene Docg and Cartizze Docg.
Manula harvesting is the only option on these slopes, not like they do on the flatland of the Prosecco DOC.
That results in an intense and unique expression for every label, but we reach the epitome with Her Majesty Cartizze.
The only Cru around here.
The traditional Dry version(24 g sugar per litre) is absolutely textural and balanced by the mineral finish that hides completely the sweetness that you would expect.
Extremely long.
This is prosecco on steroids(does that sound good or bad??)
Excellent drop!! — 8 months ago
