Getting close to the end of our value rosé aging experiment. This was an old favorite of ours, used to buy at least two cases on every release. It was very fruit forward, and at $8 it was easy on the wallet, perfect summer sipper. Alas our palates have changed over the years, and we stopped buying this in 2015. Fortunately we have plenty of other bottles to distract us.
(50% Merlot / 50% Cabernet Franc)
The color is very orange-orange-salmon, quite cool looking.
Nose is mineral with fresh Clementine.
Palate is so fresh and singing (thanks to Stelvin closures), I'd venture this bottle still has 1-2 years left without concern. Clementine, white flowers, medium finish. I'm all smiles at how well this bottle is drinking today. — 8 years ago

Nose has sappy, ripe but slightly tart dark cherry, and a beautiful almost Burgundian gravel thing. A wee bit of baking spice. Tannic and youthful in the mouth. This needs a couple of years at least. Very Cotes de Nuits in style. Very nice length and a savory style. Was OK with Thanksgiving turkey, but the turkey accentuated the tannin. This needs beef (prime rib!) to shine. — 8 years ago
Sweet but tart notes upon sipping with a spicy finish. Rich saplike quality throughout — 8 years ago
An amazing Rose of Grenache it has a flavor unfamiliar to all Rose wines. Interestingly this finishes with a hint of vanilla oak!!! — 9 years ago
Alcohol is a little out of balance, but otherwise a fantastic 2010 Zin that's drinking great right now. Used the Kelvin to keep it at 59F which took the edge off the alcohol and allowed its true profile to shine. — 10 years ago
