Paid €25 for a half bottle at L’Osteria di Giovanni. A nice Chianti Classico Reserva with a good full flavor. Would be nice to find in the United States at a reasonable price. I had a 2019 in January 2026. Just saw that this wine is available in the United States in the 750 ML bottle for $40 at wine Junction in Somerville. What a great price for a half bottle here in Italy at a restaurant. — 4 months ago

Very good, as always (my third vintage). A cherry, strawberry, leather, vanilla and smoke maybe. High, pleasant acidity. Tannins on their way to smoothness. — 8 months ago
Very drinkable chianti. Not very dry, nice and smooth — 10 years ago
フルボディ。タンニン豊か。なめし革の香り。酸味は控えめて、好み。基準の90点。 — 13 years ago
Blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaolo, medium Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of sour cherry, currant and raspberry with tobacco, baking spices and nutty notes. Fine rustic tannins, vivid acidity, medium finish ending with fruit and earthy spice. Good now and short-term age as well! — 2 months ago
Nice Chianti. A bit feral at first - 45 mins in the decanter and a slight chill bring things into more balance. Obviously could take more time in bottle but expressing pretty well overall even at this point. Has that great Radda lifting acid finish. Nice pairing with chicken scarpariello. — 4 months ago
A nice lighter cherry that is dry but with appropriate fruit. Great with pasta and red sauce. October 2025. — 7 months ago
This up-front, fleshy Chianti is drinking really nicely right now. Pretty extroverted nose shows dark, macerated cherry, iodiney minerality, and a little loamy soil. In the mouth it’s pretty full, with a big whack of fruit initially, some tertiary notes developing and becoming apparent in the back half of the palate. Decent acids and still some soft tannin providing some scaffolding. I’d like a bit more linearity and persistence in the finish but for a ‘18 it’s darn nice. — 8 months ago
Deep ruby color.
Aromas of dried red fruit, cured meat, dried herbs.
Dry. Flavors of dried rose petals, sun-dried tomato, dried cherry, dried tomato leaf, dried basil, licorice, peppercorn. Rich, chewy tannins. Exceptional!

This wine was excellent. It was strong in smell but incredibly drinkable. It was very complex and different. It gave us a nice feel as well. Highly recommend. — 8 years ago
What I always hope Sangiovese will taste like. — 13 years ago
An OK Chianti. Widely available. — 2 months ago
Simple and classic chianti but that’s about it. Cherry red fruit and light oakiness. — 3 months ago
Ruby. Nose of tobacco, smoke, cherry, fresh blackcurrant, violet, earthy. Palate of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, leather, vanilla, clove. Medium + velvet Tannin, medium+ acidity.
Paired with USDA T-bone. It wasn't just a meal; the earthy depth of the wine transformed the mushrooms and steak into a multidimensional experience. It reminded me why I value the art of pairing so much. — 4 months ago
A little past peak, but delish — 6 months ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of red and black fruits, floral and smoky oak, mostly Sangiovese with small amounts of Canaiolo, Colorino, and Malvasia Nera, from Rufina subzone. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum flavors with garden herb notes, cacao and tobacco notes.
