Balanced fruit and earth tones. Smooth finish — 7 years ago
This stuff was absolutely amazing. One of the best Alexander Valley wines I've had in quite some time! It was so young and and so much time ahead of it! I killed it anyway.
The nose was so enticing and floral - if not for the already beautiful aromas of baked black fruits, tobacco and leather, the immediate presence of menthol, or eucalyptus leaf was jettisoning out of the glass. The pallet was silky smooth, with all the tannins and oak perfectly integrated - cocoa, smoked blackberry, mint, gravel, and a lingering finish. Wish I had more of this, but it was a singular find. What a great wine, it sure put Jordan to shame. — 9 years ago

A smooth and easy drinking Cab with the flavor profile of a much bigger wine. Tannins are velvety, great finish but doesn't require as much chewing as some other Cabs its same age — 10 years ago
Zum CL-Spiel Paris- Chelsea. Bin mal gespannt, ob die jetzt gleich auch mit so viel Finesse und Druck aufspielen wie dieser Rhone-Kamerad. Sehr lecker! — 11 years ago

Deep ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of juicy black fruit and intense perfume, blackberry, mulberry, ripe raspberry, purple and pink flowers; dry, medium acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors of ripe black fruit and perfumed florals; long finish, very well balanced, elegant, outstanding — 7 years ago
Very dry, some hints of berries, perfectly suited to rosé the day away. — 8 years ago
What an interesting wine! It rounded off a wonderful evening with dear friends at Rouge Tomate in Chelsea, NYC, where the service was as excellent as always. This sherry was made from a famed solera called "GF30" that apparently dated back to the 1940s. Such complexity and intensity. Orange peel, toast, walnuts, salinity, and so much more. A real treat. — 9 years ago
