Snygg, slank, fruktdriven och med stor fräschör samt perfekt integrerade tanniner. (Post)modern Rioja i sin renaste form. — 8 years ago
Big, dark fruit come through along with a generous but not overbearing amount of oak. A solid combination of acidity and grippy tannins round it out. The finish is long and enjoyable. It’s well put-together and would be fun to revisit a few years down the road. — 8 years ago
Eucalyptus and black plum on the nose with cherry, raspberry, and grape stem on the palate. Tannins that need time to open. — 9 years ago

Very full aroma and flavor. Very good wine. — 11 years ago
Boozey. Smells like butterscotch and vanilla. Notes of honey, figs, sweet plums, and peach. Very sweet. — 11 years ago
Was 30 bucks but solid Bordeaux. — 12 years ago
Amazing. It's fruity, but I've felt only a sweet, ripe plum. But the best is the rest: spicy aromas with leather and smoke like from smokehouse. I simply love it! — 7 years ago
Drank 12/5/18. Paired with lamb burgers.
This was a great value, originally priced around $17, currently on special for December with an additional 20% off at total wine for around 11$.
Nose of plumbs, cherries, leather, and black pepper.
Flavors of red and black cherry, soil, and tar backed by medium tannins. Dry, medium to long finish. An impressive wine for a lesser chateau in a mediocre year.

Drank 2/19/18. Paired with roasted chicken.
The nose of sweet stewed plums and red berries is quite expressive. Still present, but mild, well integrated tannins lend structure to cassis and earth flavors. Medium finish. This could go a few more years, but is in a sweet spot now. I dont think it will improve further, so drink now. Fully mature.

Thanks @JT for a great bottle. — 8 years ago

#bordeauxont even play with me right now....tasted with Jeromé at the Chateau as part of a 15 year vertical. Who knew Castillon could age?!?!?!? — 11 years ago
Suggested by the buyer at Costco. Good price point, good taste. A bit better after breathing. I'd definitely have it again. — 11 years ago
My first Bordeaux! — 13 years ago
Very good! It’s what a good Bordeaux should be. — 7 years ago
Typical scent of vanilla, baking spice, dill, fruit, and red fruit. Lots of energy on the palate, a little smokey character, earthiness, and spice. Mineral finish. Rambunctious, but good. I like it! — 8 years ago
A Costco home run, I think this was like 10 bucks. What a great value, this drinks like something much more than that. I'm drinking the 11 and based on the reviews there is clearly some variation between vintages. Mine drinks like a dry old world cab and merlot blend. Nice structure and finish will some oak and not much fruit. Very good. Decanted for 6 hours and it really sings. Will buy more, a lot more. — 9 years ago
2d time was much better — 10 years ago
Great fruit and earth on nose, medium bodied Merlot with balance. Awesome value — 11 years ago
Great wine! Medium body. Not too acidic. Some fruit in the beginning but quickly dissipates. Somewhat earthy aftertaste. Would recommend. — 11 years ago
Smooth and a wonderful blend. — 12 years ago
