Fresh, young, and structured. Needs time to open up. Tres elegant. #paulpillot #pulignymontrachet #premiercru #chardonnay #cotedebeaune #burgundy #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
A stunning wine from Pillot showing great breadth in mouthfeel but also a harmony between acidity and richness with integrated oak — 9 years ago
Just delicious. Just starting to veer over into aged character. At first opening, very little fruit but blossomed into golden apple. Lush. Tightrope balance in a pretty dress. Great with whole fish. — 10 years ago
Was a little worried that this 2002 vintage was not opened sooner, but... Whoa doggie! Exceptional!!! Pear skin, apple pie, buttered toast and new French oaky deliciousness!!!! — 11 years ago
Not much nose, quite closed. And it was even decanted. Must be going through a phase. But the taste is still elegant with stone, citrus, salt, just enough roundedness. Quite restrained. — 8 years ago
This 02 took some time to open up but it really blossomed. Lots of barnyard on the nose and great berries - blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. Very well integrated wine with nice balance — 8 years ago

Red berry fruits that are lush and elegant. It has a hint of flora, some earthy traits and a nice finish. Had this with M and family for Xmas dinner. — 10 years ago
Lives up to the name. Creamy and full of layers. — 10 years ago
Trying wrap my head around this 09, a bit disjointed and messy, especially on the palate. But lovely aromas of apple brittle, pear, butterscotch cream and minerals. The charred smokiness in the mouth is somewhat unappealing, but fades as the wine warms to room temperature. — 11 years ago

Crushable. Easy going, lovely floral and spice aromatics followed by lipsmacking fruit. — 7 years ago
