Sweet and savoury nose of ripe red fruit, cherry, currant, vegetal notes, Brussel sprout, cauliflower soup, cucumber, leather, underbrush, mushroom and Asian spices. On the palate the wine showed sweet, ripe red fruit, cherry, currant, vegetal notes, cucumber, tobacco, spices, caramel as well as mineral and balsamic notes, paired with medium-plus lively acidity, fully integrated tannin, a smooth mouthfeel and incredible length. The fruit became less pronounced as time passed, to the benefit of the tertiary notes. A medium-bodied, medium-complex, well-balanced red Burgundy that drank young for its age and seemed to be good for another 10+ years. I liked it a lot. 93 — 11 years ago

2005. Powerful and brooding dark fruit. Starting to give a bit on the palate, but still early days. I think it needs another five years to really start singing. Showing great potential. — 10 years ago
