Pitted dark fruits on the nose. Very smooth and elegant feel with the perfect blend of fruit and earth. — 2 months ago
Used the Durand on the cork - soaked to the edge. Decanted for 2 hours.
This wine had some gaminess. Smooth. Fruit was a bit wild and overpowered by the savory flavors.
Paired well with the chicken skewers and onions. Needed complex flavors in the food to pair well.
Good but quite a bit below the Beaucastel — 3 months ago
Focus on the finish, inverse of CdP. — 3 months ago
Love the forward flavor. Great paired with anything! — 3 months ago
A bit beyond its peak. Still soft and sexy — 5 months ago
GSM that is 67 percent Grenache and 22 percent Syrah. Lots of fruit makes this delightful. May 2025. — 7 months ago
1989 vintage. Decent fill and cork. Not decanted. Powdery, not chunky, sed. Tasted after 3.5 hours open. Light-medium body. Nose and flavors kept up the intensity in complete harmony. Special. Well-stored examples should yield similar pleasure for another 5-6 years. 03.29.25. — 9 months ago
Well shit. Wildly expressive nose of tea, kirsch, saddle, fennel and sage. Started off too cold but with temperature increase opened up to a beautiful, elegant style CDP with cherry, blackberry, and all sorts of rustic garrigueness. A smoky, blue fruit finish. Tannins and acidity and alcohol all in perfect formation. Just awesome — 8 years ago
Peppery and delicious. Smooth — 2 months ago

Sixteen-year south Rhône white with staying power. — 6 months ago
A lovely tarry note initially amongst the red fruits. On the medium weight palate sweet and savoury red fruits. Love CdP from a good year like this one. 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault and the remaining 5% split between Muscardin, Counoise and Vaccarese. Completely destemmed and fruit driven. Soft pliant tannins. — 7 months ago
Good body nice red fruits and herbs. — 6 years ago
The fruit has retreated, leaving somewhat a muted nose on the first day. But subtle of sweet cherry and black currants came back on the 2nd day, making for a complex bouquet along with leather, dried herbs, date, steeped red tea, and chocolate cream liqueur. The palate is savory, and silky smooth, with resolved tannins supporting a lean, earthy finish. A fully evolved, contemplative wine. — 2 months ago
It’s a very balanced, rich and pleasant wine. No suprises, but perfect delivery. — 3 months ago
A little orange bricking on the edge, this lovely aromatic 25-year-old Chateauneuf seems mature and ready to drink, still shows lively acidity which nicely lifts the red fruited flavors, good weight, lingering finish, should pair beautifully with the bison ribeye I will soon be grilling!! — 3 months ago
Better on the second day — 5 months ago
Deep ruby, lovely maturing aromas of black cherry, strawberry, smoke, lavender, thyme, forest floor, grilled meat, blackberry. Fine balance of acidity ands tanning, fresh on the palate with great depth and finesse. Long finish, ten more years ahead. — 8 months ago
Very smooth — 7 years ago
Caramel on the nose. Dark berries and a long finish on the palate. Great Chateau-neuf. — 10 years ago

Tasting with a big fan of Rayas. Better than the 2010 and both bottles were so different than other CDP. This one more Burgundy, the 2010 closer to Bordeaux. Both very elegant. — 2 months ago
