I expected this to be hot and clumsy. Don't know why, I just did. While concentrated, it was balanced with terrific fruit and savory flavor, acid bright and long, and a tasty finish filled with notes of smoke and black cherry. Nimble for 14.5% abv. Next night. Heat somewhat dissipated. Increased savory notes, with black licorice pronounced. Nose still full of red fruit. Rich, extracted mouthfeel. Still tasty.
