Celebrating Jaziel's Birthday with a Birth Year wine! Happy Birthday Love! 😘❤ This wine is INCREDIBLE! — 8 years ago
This is one of the better cab francs I've had (though I need to try Detert on @Carl Fischer's recommendation). La Jota is becoming a favorite of mine...shouldn't be surprised as I'm a die-hard Howell Mountain fan. No traces of green pepper at all with this...got a nose of very slight toasted oak and blackberries. Long legs and a gorgeous purple ring/black core. Plum and cinnamon on the tongue. I'll take some more please. 👌 — 8 years ago

2010 CF- one of the roundest cab francs I've had- zero green, a chocolatey beast. — 11 years ago
Low tannin, good acid, ripe fruit (cranberry/cherry/raspberry) in a balanced and restrained way. A hint of mint. Great value. — 7 years ago
Buy another case! — 7 years ago
I'll admit, I'm always happy to have a Nicolas Thienpont wine in my glass. The Thienpont family are associated with other great Bordeaux properties including Puygueraud, Pavie Macquin and one of my personal favorites, Vieux Château Certan. The 2014 Les Charmes Godard is slightly austere, with pronounced herbaceousness. Smoky minerality swirls around boxwood, cherimoya and gooseberry notes. It's lean and racy on the palate, lightly hemmed in by oak. Here lime zest, white grapefruit, and white pepper take the center stage. — 8 years ago
Chocolate and blackberry. Solid but a bit closed. Would definitely get again. — 9 years ago
One of the best cab francs I've had — 9 years ago

Softness from the merlot equals well balanced. Red plum. Reminds me why I love cab francs. — 10 years ago

Great blue fruits, cedar, earth with nice finish — 7 years ago
This has some of the red fruit that I would expect, but not as much as other cab francs I’ve had. This does have nice stony minerality, and a lot of black pepper. Medium bodied with medium-ish puckery tannins. This bottle was a great value at Trader Joe’s. — 7 years ago
Interesting and fun. Need to get more Loire cab francs. — 8 years ago
Still enjoyable, if on the downslope a little too much — 9 years ago
Nice fruity mature Bordeaux 2010 with very good length. Excellent value. Punches above its weight. — 9 years ago
Definitely made in style to other Cab Francs from Chinon. Lots of barnyard funk, green peppers and other herbs. Plenty of red fruits too that balance out the flavor. — 9 years ago
I loved this! super easy to drink and very well balanced — 9 years ago
Delicious and full bodied! — 10 years ago
Big powerful wine, drink with nice hunk of red meat! — 10 years ago
Tasted blind, I would have called this Bordeaux it has so much granite-y minerality. But the aroma of sun-ripened blueberries should have tipped me off to California. A finish just beyond medium--one of my favorite California cab francs (one of my favorite grapes!) — 11 years ago
