San antonio bobs steak and chophouse. Darioush was better at that pricepoint. Nuttier and spicier than darioush. — 7 years ago
One of the wines I had in 2008 that made me fall in love with wine was a Côte du Rhone by JL Chave "Mon Coeur". It's been a long time since I had a Rhone wine, I got this from Kermit Lynch shop in Berkeley, Cali. Nice notes of pepper and spice, gamy, good tannins from Syrah. Another good find from Kermit... Try this with steak that has fat, you will love this wine! — 10 years ago
Earthy, terroir nose. Opened nicely. Palette- enjoyable , long finish, medium tannins . After one hour, improved, earthiness is a nice change from Napa cabs. — 4 years ago

Not quite as yeasty as a rose champagne but quite lovely to celebrate an anniversary — 6 years ago
Initially I smelled a wilting rose and after reading other reviewed I recognized the Smokey smell. The body is light and went well with chicken breasts with capers. — 8 years ago

I was so close to opening some 2016 Beast today, but went old school2015. Bought a bottle, went back for a case. Great stuff, suitable earthiness. A little rustic and needing a year, but, WOW. — 8 years ago
Deep red cherry with earthy finish. Classic Loire/cab franc. Excellent on opening. — 9 years ago
Stunning Northern Rhone Syrah. Beautifully balanced, very smooth on opening. Even better the following day (half bottle each time). Even at £15, good value, courtesy of Tesco. — 9 years ago

Nice wine, good value. Was a bit skeptical given the 15% but it wasn’t really noticeable. Did open 8 hours before drinking and gave it a slight chill. Pepper and wild herbs. Nice balance. Good pairing with a mustardy chicken dish. — 4 years ago
