Fresh fruits. Bright. Beautiful. Strawberries. Spot on! — 9 years ago
Very deep violet core with magenta rim. Blackberry, plum, milk chocolate, and hints of tobacco on the nose. Fleshy and full bodied dark fruit on the palate with soft tannins and medium acidity. Sourced from high elevation vineyard at 2,788 feet. — 9 years ago
If you like crisp, austere mineral-driven whites (think Chablis 1ere Cru or a very fine Alto Adige), you'll love this wine.
Unfortunately, unless you live in, or visit, Chile you won't find it. Only sold in country and too small production for export (6 hectares for 4 types) of grapes, this is a great excuse for a pilgrimage to Chile's surreally beautiful Pisco del Equi Valley. — 9 years ago
One of the best Cavas we had in Spain!! 🍾💜💍✈️ — 10 years ago
Happy New Years! Minty nose, sour apple jolly rancher, dry like nettles, vegetable greens, lime yellows. Champagne is totally overrated, we are thrilled to throw back some awesome Cavas. Purchased at tableWINE. — 8 years ago
Such a surprise! Still a Cava but with a great opulent complexity as a good champagne.
I knew Recadero was perceived among the best Cavas. But this Extra Brut 2010 was by far a top one. A great price/quality too!

If you think there's a better wine for a warm summer day, please tell me immediately. This is how I like whites - decent, dry apple/citrus fruitiness with a crisp finish and a little zest hanging around to keep you interested. Oh, and this thing has a little bubbles to it! Maybe half as much as your average prosecco (or even less) but definitely a little carbonation for a little extra texture. Wish I had discovered this earlier! Drank while finishing up some late work on a Friday and before going out for the night, but this would work equally as well at 2:30pm hanging out under an umbrella near a pool.
Do yourself a favor and Google/Wikipedia the origination of this wine, if they can ever increase production it's going to displace the generic proseccos and cavas of the U.S. market. — 8 years ago
