Chocolatey, meaty, soft tannins. The pizza of wines - nothing bad about that. — 9 months ago
Clean, crisp, alpine, a bit of menthol. — 10 months ago
A bottle of Malbec to pair with Steak Frites tonight. — 2 years ago
If I had rated this one the night I opened it, I would have given it a slightly lower score. At first, I caught aromas of leather and meat drippings and flavors of sundried tomatoes. A couple of nights later, the wine had opened up nicely and had more floral and spice aromas and flavors of red berries and earth. Needless to say, an interesting wine, indeed. And from the Canary Islands! Huh. 90% Listan Negro, 10% Castellana Negra. 9/1/22. — 3 years ago
— 5 years ago

2018 vintage. Léoville-Poyferré-involved concern. 73% Malbec 18% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Petit Verdot 3% Syrah 1% Cab Franc. 100% delicious. Medium/medium-heavy body. Nice balance of grip/zip and sleeko suave. Can hold its own in a street fight now or be the scheduled, 12-round, main event in 2040-your choice. $28.85 resto cost on 3 cases. 14.5% ABV. Definite big red blend value contender. 04.13.25. — 6 months ago
Blackcurrant and blackberry smell and taste, very airy and not that dry — 2 years ago
One of my favorites. Incredibly smooth, minimal tannins and strong fruit forward flavor. — 3 years ago
More dark fruit and juice than the Frappato. I love it. Tasty and fun, juicy with a little pepper / volcanic pop at the finish. — 4 years ago
Soft and easy drinking for sure. Had with steak and chimichurri. — 4 years ago
This Mexican red wine certainly feels earthy and fruity like other Valle de Guadalupe wines I have had. This wine, though comes from the Italian grape Nebbiolo, doesn’t really have the sharpness (full tannins) most Italian wines have and most often need a food pairing. This wine because it’s light, smooth and almost Zin-like without being overly sweet. — 5 years ago
