More tannic than the 2012 vintage. Darker fruit profile too. 😍 these wines — 10 years ago
Somewhat rustic in style. Grippy tannins. Enjoyable. — 4 months ago
Semplicemente spettacolare! — 5 years ago
There is a slight misalignment between the fruit and phenolic ripeness, also a mismatch between the oak and the terroir, but it is still an authentic, genuine Langhe Nebbiolo. Wide range of aromatic nuances and dynamic expression with authority. Less polished than Roagna and less subtle than Cascina delle Rose but those three are of similar mold. A relaxed style of winemaking that is complete opposite of producers like Albino Rocca, Bruno Rocca and Sottimano who have a perfectionist approach, — 7 years ago
A delicious young Nebbiolo from Cascina dell Rose — 7 months ago
Tasted this Barbera Superiore made from three different generations at this small family producer in Castaglione delle Lanze just outside the Barolo DO. Speaking with the current wine maker science and precision regarding harvest, maceration and fermentation time are to blame for the recent elevation in quality. Very good, Decanter just gave it ninety two points. — 2 years ago
Deep fruit flavor, acidic — 9 years ago
"Odedi"
Ruby in color with light intensity and a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose of red currants, cherries, earth, black coffee, chocolates, chalk and light oak.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red fruits, earth, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, vegetables, herbs and black tea.
Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Barbaresco. Easy drinking and elegant, but not as smooth as I expected it to be.
This 5 year old feels like it needs more time in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
This Single Vineyard Nebbiolo is complex and interesting. Good by itself and better with food.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged for 2 years in large oak barrels. A small production of only 3,500 bottles.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
