Velvet fruity with a buttery vanilla finish is the best way to describe this. Too bad it’s a limited batched. I’m going to buy the rest from my local liquor store. — 7 years ago
On the lighter side of medium bodied. Lots of juicy acid, bright cherries, cranberry, light tea, dried violets. From Provincetown liquor store. — 7 years ago
Lovely sloe berry + anis liquor. Tad sweet. — 8 years ago
2006 may be the most highly underrated vintage of the past decade in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. This showed an intense nose of blackberry, plum sauce, charred meat and grilled herbs. On the palate, it displayed weighty textures with impeccable balance, showing blackberry, raisins, cherry liquor, and anise. It finished long on black cherry and spice. Tres mil ampolles per un brandy sublim. De fi paladar, subtil dolçor i ampli paladar. Molt bona recomanació d'En Tomàs de Can Rosendo!! A Mataró — 10 years ago
Dark opaque purple. The nose erupts from the glass with liquor like notes of sugar plums, crushed rocks, and hot tar. The palate is rich and dense with formidable but surprisingly approachable sweet tannins that absolutely envelope your entire mouth with no sharp edges. For me it's like biting into a juicy dark plum with just the right balance of acidity. Finish actually hits with multiple waves. I imagine this will get better as it all comes together in a couple years. Stunning wine — 10 years ago
vacation wine thanks to the Utah State Liquor store — 11 years ago
Wow, old school perfection! California wine from a forgotten age. Pure Italian-American greatness. Reminds me of the wine my childhood landlord would make from the vines that grew behind our house just upstate from NYC. Dark fruits abundant, soft acidity and tanins, nice touch of oak, without obscuring the graps as so many California wineries are obsessed with doing for some reason these days. Found this at a random liquor store on a road trip, will seek it out now. Even better than the Cribari Chianti or Coppola Rosso, which were my previous favorite in this genre, the wonderfully underappreciated "backyard" wine... — 6 years ago
This is a gorgeous wine...violet in color with medium body and tannins. Blueberries..cherry liquor..chocolate..cedar..smoke...blackpepper..clove and vanilla! I let this decant for an hour..I am not sure but I think this is my first Merlot...What's not to like!! — 7 years ago
Yum! Nice notes of dark fruit and spice. Buy again. Good everyday. Liquor Boy. — 8 years ago
Captures the elegance of Grenache and the 2014s. Pure ripe and confiture fruit, almost liquor like, underpinning of minerals, garrigue, and herbs. Drank too quickly as it needed more aeration — 8 years ago
