At Batard in NYC. Decanted. Nice aged ruby color. Sweet nose including ripe berries, mushroom, forest floor and some spice. Good mouth feel that lasts long enough to give you the terroir impact. Really like the finish. This was on the wine list at two restaurants in NYC this week and both somms said this was a recent direct release from the domaine. So good provenance and a good showing for a so so vintage. — 10 years ago
Excellent! Smooth and polished. Super long and showing more maturity than I was expecting. All the classic notes in a superb showing. — 6 months ago

Just yum - lemon curds, wet rocks, and juicy acidity wrapped in goodness. — 11 years ago
Smokey rosemary. Super fresh and no 04 greenness — 13 years ago
Previous bottle tasted a year ago in September 2024. Mid lemon in colour. Aromatics of struck match, white flowers, lemon and sea spray. Hasn’t got the delicious ripe fruit I am used to with Australian Chardonnay but it does have its charm and attraction in a more mineral restrained style. — 9 months ago

Certainly not as rare as the Ponsot’s Clos des Monts Luisants, but as soon as I saw this on the wine list at reasonable price, I knew this was what I wanted to order.
The nose opens with lemon oil, white peach, crushed stones, and subtle hazelnut. The palate is supple yet lively, with vibrant acidity framing ripe orchard fruit and a cool, chalk-driven core. A faint floral note and gentle oak spice add complexity. Elegant with refined balance. — 6 months ago
