Riserva Caparsino Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2019

Nice radda Chianti riserva but at this point at least not worth the $45+ price point over things like Istine or Tenuta Carleone at ~half the price or Boncie il Cinque at about the same price. Maybe in several years if it evens out? Gave it 3+ hours of air. Really a wonderful nose but the fruit doesn’t express that well and the tannins are a bit muddled. Nice refreshing acid on the finish though. — 3 days ago

Mimma Igt Toscana Rosso Sangiovese 2019

Lighter more garnet core , quite wide garnet , terracotta rim . Quite light and ethereal on the nose , with cedar , rose , bright red cherry , more delicate and aromatic in profile . On the palate this has fresh acidity and polished tannins, lighter than the Caparsino , a much more delicate and light touch, really elegant . Sweet raspberry and red cherry , touch of anis and spice . Decent length and balance. This is a more delicate and refined experience , pure red fruits and polished tannin . Drinking quite well now though will improve over the next 5 years or so and continue to show well a further 5-10. — 8 days ago

Smooth soft tannins, pleasant bright cherry notes. Beautiful Sangiovese! Age was drinking just right. — 11 years ago

Very light and airy, yet has supple tannins. Drinking well now, no need to save any longer. Light brick color, has a dried flowers and earthy backbone. — 7 years ago
