It's going to be hard to cellar the extra bottle for at least another year. This paired perfectly with a garlicky Italian spiced homemade pizza plus a burrata salad but something tells me it would've paired just as nicely with dirt.

When in Rome (as they say) 75% Cab Franc, 25% Merlot. This needs air or you'll think it uninspiring (was best the next day). Violets and slight French oak nose. Smooth, clean blue fruits with tannins up front fading at mid palate. Med/short finish. Solid wine. — 9 years ago
Really colorful and lovely wine. I paired it with mussels fra diavolo and it complimented the dish in every way possible. Vibrant and exciting, drink this on its own or pair with something spicy. — 10 years ago
Really impressive the second day. Would try again and certainly decant the next bottle. With air loses baby fat and moves from boring cherry to much more interesting spice notes like cocoa and maybe nuts. Good acidity — 10 years ago

Delicious. Black cherry, plum and dark chocolate on the nose with a hint of vanilla. Good acid with soft, smooth tannins. Black cherry with slightly more prominent red fruits on the palate, with vanilla, cigars, and dark chocolate on the finish. Excellent value and delicious with a shrimp fra diavolo.
