Very nice. Garnet color, slight preserved fruit nose. Bright, soft. Tannins and acids balanced but present, definitely possible for aging. — 5 months ago
2020 vintage. Excellent concentration. Medium body with a lengthy, deliciously dry, finish. Looking to taste through the rest of this producer's offerings. This particular wine a little pricey and won't be able to move it but really enjoyed. 04.09.25. — 6 months ago
Funky, spicy, but with plenty of bright cherry to balance. Loud and proud, not particularly balanced but it’s working for this wine. Great with pizza. — 7 months ago
Great bottle. Love Produttori but have not had this before. With an hour decant this was truly excellent. Intensely aromatic, mouth filling, long finish with a touch of menthol, present but quite silky tannins. Perfect with boar sausage and a ribeye. — 8 years ago
1982 Bruno Giacosa Serralunga d'Alba Riserva Barolo. Second red at post-museum lunch at Il P. Drank this alongside the '82 Giacosa Brunello. This was much more well rounded with a longer finish. More favored of the two wines hands down — 10 years ago
I had a long note for this. I went to take another sip before finishing the note and the app lost it. The sip was more important and more valuable than the note. This is the height of Nebbiolo and Barbaresco. My patience was incredibly rewarded. This has the stuffing to go the distance but I didn’t miss a thing at 18 years. I’ll end it there. #gratefulforgreatwine — 4 months ago
Quite deep ruby garnet core with garnet rim . Aromatic and quite deeply spicy on the nose with liquorice , dried spices , red cherry , red plum , rose . On the palate this is quite intense and tannic, red cherry , red plum , saline with smoky , tobacco , liquorice hints . Firm tannins with fresh acidity , sweet spice and ripe red fruit . Good length , this still is pretty young and needs more time . Better in another 5-10 years and will last well a further 10-15 — 5 months ago
Bright garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas and flavors of red cherry/raspberry, plums, leather, rose petals and black licorice. Wonderful earthy element on the long finish. Fine silky tannins and beautifully light bodied. Extremely well integrated, long lasting and elegant. Quite the crowd pleaser. — 8 months ago
Dry, soft, touch of spice

Very lush and driven by dark flavors and tones. The firm tannins display how well structured this Barbaresco is — 3 years ago
Tasted at the winery. Good potential to develop, still will be on the light side of Nebbiolo — 6 years ago

Supremely elegant. A bit young, in hindsight should have waited. But loved it all the same. — 9 years ago

Drank as 2nd bottle with Ryan and Elissa. Wonderful meal. — 4 months ago
Presented double-blind at Tasting Group. The wine pours a slightly hazy garnet color with a translucent core and some rim variation; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears and light signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous, with notes of ripe and desiccated red fruit: Morello cherry, dried roses, tar, tobacco, leather, gravelly earth, and exotic spices. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose where the fruit showed quite a bit of power. The finish is long. Alcohol is elevated but calling it medium+. This is delicious.
Initial conclusion: this could be Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Granache or Pinot Noir from Italy, France or Spain. Because the tannins were absolutely ripping, and there was no staining, I was leaning Nebbiolo. Additionally, the secondary characteristics along with a strong core of fruit had me thinking this was close to 30 years old from a solar vintage. So I called Nebbiolo, from Italy, from Piemonte, Barolo from a traditional-leaning producer, 1997. Well, I can’t get too upset with my call! Really tasty stuff. Drink now through 2032. — 6 months ago

A m a z I n g. Fine furry tannins straight away so we decanted. One hour later this was singing. The nose was so pretty with cacao powder, faint sweet tarragon, and strawberries. Mouth coating raspberry fruit roll ups, smooth tannins makes this beautiful. TBL — 5 years ago
Empty... nuff said. — 6 years ago
Tannins mellow out a little on day two. Beautiful and elegant, wonderful expression of Nebbiolo and the region. — 8 years ago
Some of the happiness may indeed be because I've been a little to Californian lately. Occupational hazard. This has got pretty violet aromas mixed with herbal notes of pine and faint rosemary. Palate reflects aromas, adding dried cranberries, leather and tobacco notes. Good tannic grip. — 12 years ago

From mag. A gorgeous and lush expressive nose. Roses, black cherry, hints of licorice. A gorgeous wine. Detail and focus and amazing expansive flavors with a glorious long finish. Amazing — 4 months ago
