Star bright straw gold. Inviting nose of quince and citrus rind. Medium-light palate leads with firm acidity introducing quince, citrus rind, and white pepper, all finishes up with smite stony acidity. A food wine to be sure — though some hearty souls may choose this as a “sipper” — and one that cries out for rich white wine fare. Potato crusted cod with white balsamic green beans was my choice. My rating is for the 25 year bottling. An interesting copper color. Powerful nose of oak, caramel, and custard. On the palate caramel, vanilla, oak, spice and custard with a hint of lemon and bread dough. The finish is long acid, more caramel and oak. Fabulous and dangerously smooth. — 7 years ago

What a delicious Bas-Armagnac. Rich with vanilla and caramel notes all in abundance. But what makes this such a delightful spirit is its intensity, smoothness and the finish that lasts several minutes. Twenty five years aged, and some, this Bas-Armagnac was a little treasure that I picked up at a store that was, sadly, closing. I'm glad I did. — 8 years ago

Cat pee and grass on the nose, which moves into grapefruit and minerality. Grapefruit in the flavor, quaint and tasty. Grassy, too. Smooth texture and not too acidic. Very nice. — 9 years ago
