Straw-golden color. Medium plus weight. This wine smelt like banana bread! Tasted of brie, vanilla & of course, butter. — 8 years ago
Amazing!! I believe the earlier comment calling it liquid butter sums it up! — 9 years ago

Better than I remember other ZD chards; reminds me of how rombauer used to be...so lots of volume on the butter, but better balanced with the acidity — 10 years ago
Lush, silky, creamy, light acidity, lightly buttery. Paired well with crab legs and herb butter. — 10 years ago

Tasting so fresh! Lovely layers of apple and almond butter with lingering flinty, citrusy notes. Thanks, David!! #rameywinecellars — 9 years ago
Lighter golden hued. Honeydew, melon, damp clay and a tinge of turpentine on the nose. Silly and silky smooth on the palate, with a crescendoing gradient of clementine laced acidity. Mid palate shows straw, kiwi, and a balanced playfulness of citrus and limoncello. Oaked but not oaky nor faux butter flavored. Finish is luscious and long. A great example of how to Chardonnay without playing charades. Served decanted and cool. — 10 years ago
Oak and butter but subtle — 11 years ago
Mild butter profound vanilla. Can be overpowering; dulling tastebuds. — 7 years ago
Nicely integrated, more butter on the nose than taste, ripe apple with a smooth finish. Nice Chardonnay, my preference is old world Chard, this was nice. — 8 years ago
Cultured butter (ghee) one the nose. Clean gala apple on the pallet. — 8 years ago
Lovely big, oaky CA cabernet sauvignon. Brandied dark cherries, raisins, dried plums, toasted vanilla, tobacco, licorice, butter, rosemary, molasses, raspberry, wool and animal skin. On the palate, the wine reveals more of those lovely dried dark fruit notes of raisins, cherries, and plums, as well as more brandied cherries, butter, rosemary. Soft, well balanced tannins that have had time to mellow and better integrate over the last ten years. I think it maybe could've gone another year or two, but I definitely opened at a great time. Splendid, deep, complex Cabernet that was a rewarding experience to drink. — 9 years ago
True to its name - smooth as butter. Yum! — 10 years ago
