Softer, baby Barolo. 90% Nebbiolo. Raspberries, dried cherries, flowers. Nice balance. — 10 years ago
A true Left bank. Medium dry, good tannins to cut though a hearty meal. A bit thin and burning alcohol taste at first but opens up nicely to show more depth. Earthy, pencil led, cigar box, light barn yard. — 10 years ago
Cranberry raspberry and heavy minerality wow I love it!!!! Teeth burning!! — 10 years ago
If you make it to Arizona, make sure you stop by burning tree. By far my favorite winery in cottonwood, az. The 45-70 bones you spend on a bottle is well worth it. Acidic but well balanced. — 11 years ago
Modern in style but quite enjoyable. Oak is noticeable but not intrusive. Lots of fruit still present with slight sweetness on the midpalate and lively tannins on a bone dry finish. Decanted for two hours as tannins are still fairly aggressive otherwise. It is advisable. — 11 years ago
Made in a similar style to amarone. — 10 years ago
Lemon pie and orange blossoms with lemon poppy madeleines lingering in the stratosphere. Banana bread and cedar shavings. The bourbon barrel screams from the glass. Hazelnut and pecan turn creamy vanilla pudding, pine nut, grass clippings and charred bits, with a satisfying carbon and graphite in a lemon pith middle burning a hot streak. — 10 years ago
Deep baked dark fruit on the nose. Bloody and jammy in the mouth with lots of garrigue and afternotes of charred meat. A bit of green olive. — 10 years ago
Nice round taste but quite a heavy wine. — 10 years ago
LOVE love love this wine. Very bold. Strong cherry but still earthy. — 11 years ago
Pairs nicely with march madness. — 10 years ago
Classy wine. Firm tannins structure. Masculine style with bright acidity. Tobacco, coffee, spices, and black fruits interweave together. Nice. — 10 years ago

Such a good red blend - dry tangy and fruity but with a smooth finish. This is my favorite red. — 10 years ago
The nose gives black cherry and licorice aromas with just the faintest hint of a campfire or a fireplace burning. Very lively on the palate, it tastes of cherry and red currant in a very fun manner. There is a hint of red vine licorice and ripe, red plums. The mouthfeel is full, the acidity is striking and the tannic structure is firm, but not beastly. — 11 years ago
Well balanced rosé - delicate and pleasant! — 12 years ago
