Violets bloom on the nose, and as it opens it works it’s way onto the palate with a TON of grace and fine-yet-lovely tannins. The mid-palate of this Tempranillo is one of the most accessible and expressive wines that I’ve ever had at its price.
And here I thought the secret of great, affordable Spanish wines had been exposed. The Obalo is a stand-out. — 6 years ago

Big cab franc. Showing big fruit with enough herbaceousness to balance it out. May take a couple years to bloom but drinks great now — 9 years ago
Terrific. My go to Pilsner. Just a bit of hops. Smooth. Refreshing. Flavorful. — 9 years ago
Dusky tannins that still grip the senses; like a sunset, you must wait for it to unfold old tea roses, lavender, the blue sticky scent of rosemary in bloom, and violet ink writing a secret message... — 10 years ago
This is a wonderful wine from Luc Morlet. The wine opens with aromatic honey & melon on the palate with plenty of underlying structure. The 2010 is in full bloom. What a delight! — 5 years ago
Vibrant, pale ruby. Reserved nose, hint of typical warm stone aromas for Priorat, not a lot of fruit, more dried red fruits/fruit leather. On the palate first is the noticable acidity. It has a energy to the tannins that is lively. And the finish is slightly firm and drying, borderline bitter.
I like the amplitude in this wine, but wish it offered a bit more breadth/richness of fruit, especially given its 14.5% alc. May bloom w time in bottle, with air or show more fruit on a different day since this is a biodynamicaly farmed wine. — 7 years ago
Aged Condrieu... it exists...
And can be spectacular!!!.
Creamy tropical popsicle, vanilla, summer flowers in bloom, hint of orange-liquor. Mouthfilling and impressive, yet full of details and finesse.
Wowwie.. What a wine..
And no signs of decline or whatsoever...

Comp with '04 La Perche '05 La Pucelle. Despite expectation came in behind other two. Light body and nose that took a while to open up. Medium finish with acidity. Good wine but falls in comp. Best the day after agon. Nose now in bloom and prominent. Taste also opened up. Outstanding long finish. Perhaps needs more time! Need to check opened bottle. — 9 years ago
Bright and light red. Great served chilled. No allergic reactions to this. — 6 years ago

Delicious, lightly fruity riesling that pairs well with lemon pasta. Ideal for non-wine drinkers. — 7 years ago
Started to open up in 30 minutes n reached full bloom in an hour. Round and smooth. Very nice. 2001 vintage. — 8 years ago
Really cool wine. Rich yet savvoury and really fresh. It would be wine of the night if it wasn't for the Soldera 😂 — 9 years ago
Bloom flavor elegant berries in forest — 9 years ago
So imagine a bright fruity typical Sonoma red, but then blend it with old Bordeaux style...and equipment and environment. You get an earthy, tannin packed, mushroom bloom brooding behind dark fruits. Helene Seillan (daughter of Pierre) does a fabulous job and holds her own against her father all day long. — 10 years ago
