Plenty of strawberry, tart cherry, watermelon, white and red rose petals and dried herbs. Fruit shines on the palate with plenty of acidity to carry you to a pleasant finish. The 1975 vintage tasted 2015 at age 40 is brick coloured with a garnet hue. This wine is showing its age as a Slimmer and leaner version than it was a decade ago and now features prominent savoury notes . Currently Showing ripe plum, black sage, strawberry compote, low tannins, leather, thin bodied and well integrated. This wine at age 40 gives pleasure and a taste of the characteristics Bordeaux is known for even at its ripe age. Enjoy with ripe cheese, savoury and delicate antipasti, and red meat hors doeuvres. — 11 years ago
