Unfiltered, so a little hazy, with a rounded mouthfeel, but not heavy; it went down smooth. (It actually felt more rounded than I’m used to in a lager, but then I’m learning.) Really pretty floral/hoppy notes with pleasant malty notes— a bit of biscuit with a touch of honey and vanilla. Notes of apricot, ripe citrus, and spiced apple. — 9 years ago

Augustiner-Brau-München Maximator dopplebock.
After an afternoon of stuffing homemade sausages as a fundraiser for our kid's school, there may be no better nightcap than this impeccable beer.
Chocolatey, toasty, very well balanced, even with its relatively high gravity, many new world brewers could learn something here.

Wow we wow! What a crowd pleaser this bottle is. It's hard to believe at this price point to find a wine so absolutely delish! Big juicy red fruit forward. Low sugar, low acid. — 9 years ago
This is my all time favorite beer. Been many places across the globe, can't stop thinking about it, can't wait to go back to DE for more. — 9 years ago
