This is a really good Belgium Ale. I will be buying some in the near future. — 10 years ago

enjoyed in Paris at brasserie Vagenende. a
This is a Vicki fave. Subtle acidity, a full berry nose, long, smooth finish that is clean and dry. for so young a wine, this is impressive. — 10 years ago
Aroma is grassy and spicy, with some lightly toasted bread, citrus, coriander. Hops definitely showing and takes me back to the quiet, quaint town of Poperinge, around which most Belgian hops are grown. Mouthfeel light with medium+ carbonation. Finishes dry with a slightly bitter, grassy finish. Supremely easy to drink, especially on a hot day like this. — 11 years ago
This year's Zwanze is a new version of Cuvée de Florian, which is a beer Jean made for his son. It's basically Iris (hoppy lambic) aged on a small amount of cherries -- something like half the amount used in the normal Kriek. — 11 years ago
Light but flavorful. A little malty and you can definitely taste the grapes but not in a sweet way. Very enjoyable. — 12 years ago
Had this tawny 10 yr at Red Bar Brasserie in Southampton. It actually drinks line a 20 yr old very smooth and rich. — 10 years ago
Shrimpy saline and musky saffron aromas and sweet, familiar Belgian triple, maybe La Chouffe? or even like Hefeweizen ? tastes--but finishes drier, more refreshing and more musky. Pretty refreshing, goes quick. Most certainly lighter-footed than Chouffe. Quite the rare gift! How do I rate a beer, I'm no beer guy...? — 10 years ago
Found this at a local brasserie. Extremely well priced. — 10 years ago

Swiss dessert: dark chocolate, hint of coffee, very bubbly (for a stout), maybe some peppery after after taste. — 11 years ago
This interesting blend of grapes has a very spivey nose (thinking new oak) but delicious mouthful of fruit with a very proper tannin presence allowing long, luscious finish. Cool house pour at the Brasserie, in Wilmington near Wrightsville Beach and suggested by Jennifer (Wed bartend)... — 11 years ago
Malty, with a slight bit of honey in the finish. Very delicious! — 10 years ago
100% estate beer from Gascony. Well, maybe the glass was sourced. Either way, it's a good find by Charles Neal. — 10 years ago
