Domaine du Jaugaret

St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

I can't believe I didn't rate this or write it up at the time. A suggestion from Rory Pugh, the sommelier at the Grand Del Mar (Fairmont) in San Diego. I forget if we were at Amaya or Addison. Regardless, this was a great suggestion by Mr. Pugh and an eye-opener. Went great with our entrees, which I'm sure were meat-centric. Had it again in Boston at Craigie on Main many months later. This is a terrific Bordeaux. — 11 years ago

Stony Brook Red American Wild Ale

Very nice aged sour from Sam Adams. Fruity start, lower carbonation than I expected, pretty smooth overall, though maybe missing something on the finish. — 11 years ago

Quite good. Bordeaux dirty sox but more fruity and less tanins than more expensive. From Costco. Was 14 bucks. Great value. Rated even higher second day. — 11 years ago
