This is quite a strange wine, but I’m kinda into it; deep persimmon color; pronounced intensity aromas of OAK!!!, vanilla, dill, coconut cake, pineapple upside down cake, maraschino cherries; ; dry, medium acid, medium tannins, high alcohol, full body, pronounced intensity flavors consistent with aromas; sweet sensation on the palate, looooong finish, nothing subtle about this wine, decadent — 4 years ago
17.5. 20 year tawny is very special, and this one is luscious without being heavy. — 5 years ago
Dark ruby red colour - muted dark fruits with smokey cedar box and herbal notes - soft tannins and acidity in perfect balance - medium finish. surprisingly light footed - 15% but never heavy a very good wine with Douro character - and some value added (non commercial) french Bordeaux influences in vinification. — 6 years ago

WOW ! cognac, honey, syrupy wine. so complex and enjoyable. subtle pear/appley notes. beautiful honey color with great texture. tastes like a bay leaf was dropped into it. so ya slightly herbal. nice acids ? over all yummmmm. — 5 years ago
Sauvignon blanc skin contact. Not as funky as usual skin contact Wines. It has very sweet fruit forward in first sip but it balances out with cleaner ending. — 6 years ago
Ratings are too low for this bottle. It's a good vintage with a great nose and great finish. Make sure to recant before drinking and let it sit!! It will take time to open up, but when it does, you will not be disappointed. — 8 years ago
Get hip to this rose. More like a brown. Super geek wine. Oxidative on purpose. Reminds me of...wait for it...bourbon — 8 years ago
Safe go-to for Vinho Verde. Refreshing, light, enveloping, tropical. — 3 years ago

Lemon and lime and the salty sea air on the nose, round body, light peach flavors, and tingly citrus acid. Delicious and easily drunk, and making me wish for a warm evening in Lisbon. — 4 years ago
Vinhas Velhas - 40+ indigenous varietals inter planted. 20.5% Fig, prune, almond paste, raisin, sticky pumpkin pudding, pecan pie. Elevated acidity, full body. Pronounced intensity and prolonged finish. — 6 years ago
Super funk. Love it. — 6 years ago
Aroma of lime zest, lemon verbena, honeysuckle, Meyer lemon, orange blossom, and white peach. Tastes of citrus, kumquat, and Granny Smith followed with pleasant minerality. Nine months in French oak and no ML make this easy to drink yet refined wine. — 7 years ago

Earthy, mildly tannic, pretty good amount of acidity. I wanted tacos in corn torillas when i drank this wine. — 2 years ago
