Color of ruby with grapefruit and purple tone on the rim, quite clear. Nose of immense cherry, spice, fermented cabbages, and strength of alcohol. Taste of warmth, a bit watery, spice, black pepper, subtle sweetness and acidity from dark fruits, and some more black pepper. Aftertaste shows some zesty note, soft tannins, and a bit medicinal note. — 6 years ago

Keeping on the studies, this time with this VERY aromatic malbec from Uco Valley. It was quite a bargain for about 50-60 reais in a local market...
I wasn't under the best lighting but had the impression of a very dark ruby to red, also clear with some slow tears (alcohol average(+)).
At the first sniff, I smelled a heavy amount of alcohol ... then some lightly oak, red fruits (wasn't capable of identifying which one) and black fruits (which later I realized it was definetely plum).
At the mouth, a medium (-) body, with some highlights of acidity. Later on it became more tannic with some vanilla showing up (also in the aroma), but it shadowed the other aromas.
I had it with some brie and fine herbs. Already curious to try it again with some parrilla! — 4 years ago

A beautiful Spanish white blend from Canyada, Alicante; 50% Verdil, 25% Merseguera, 20% Macabeo, and 5% Alexandria. The nose of it alone and as it breaths is bountiful and expressive. Lots of lime, sea and surf jump out of the glass, and lead to a surprisingly lush and soft touch on the palate. And for as delicate as the body is, the finish just seems to grow and grow. Remarkable balance and stone fruit rest on the finish and with each sip those characteristics only seem to expand. Everything about this wine is a “grower”, if ya know what I mean. — 10 hours ago
