Dark ruby in color with wide brick rim.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing red currants, cherries, earth, black coffee, licorice, oak, black tea, tobacco leaf, herbs and light black pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 63 year old Tempranillo from Rioja is still drinking nicely, although obviously not at its peak.

Soft and elegant with a nice mouthfeel. Nicely balanced and elegant. Tangy and interesting.

Still has enough fruits in it to last another 10 years. Not showing as much complexity as I expected, but it's always nice to try these kind of old wines.

I enjoyed it very much, all by itself.

A blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. Aged in French oak barrels for 3 years. Recorcked by the winery a few years ago. Only 400 bottles made.

2016 vintage. No mention of Bodegas Manzanos except on the cork. A little sweet but not overly so. Tremendous value. Still super youthful but fairly compliant currently. Drink now-2038. — 3 years ago

Cool label. Classy. James Suckling gives 93 puntos, must be good. Nice color. Deep ruby color. Smells meaty, juicy and dense. Flavors are similar. Plenty of extracted berry stuff. Deep and complex. Plenty of flavor here 10 years later. Has lots of mouthwatering acids. Enjoyable red. Excellent. — 2 years ago

Color of dark purple, looks thick. Nose of dense dark fruits, like currant and blackberries, some chocolate, some vanilla, a touch of oak, and some more woody cedar. Nose is not bad. Taste of ripeness, with dark fruits plus matured tannins, oaky note, some ripe grapes, a bit tobacco leaves and minerals. Some tiny refined sweetness too. Aftertaste shows some vanilla, spice, clean and enjoyable. Nice one. — 3 years ago
