Intensidad media. Boca gustosa, elegante, buena y equilibrada acidez, trago largo, mineral, con recuerdos a suelos calizo-arcillosos. — 5 years ago

Impressed by this wine and glad I bought a 6-pack--now I'm selling it at Woodberry. Has the cherry, herbs, and wet Earth I like about Rioja with a little more asphalt and pencil shavings. Mucked up the label using Coravin. How long until Coravin is an examinable service method? 😜 — 9 years ago

What a terrific white Rioja this is! Bottled by Morrisons and produced by Baron de Ley, though I strongly suspect this is the ‘Tres Viñas’ Reserva that they themselves bottle.
Aromas of nectarine, honey, caramel and vanilla. There is an element of petrichor / wet gravel on the palate that adds a refreshing quality. Medium acidity. Very full bodied, but not rich - has a strong minerality. Incredibly well balanced and long. — 5 years ago
Dried bay leaves and cranberry, macerated strawberries. Potpuri feel. Subtle orange zest and nutmeg. Resolving tannins with an acid backbone carrying this citrus feel. Dried red berries. Has a Rioja feel, less the barrel program. Drink now. — 5 years ago
Fenomenal. Viñas muy viejas, fermentacion espontanea en barrica, control de temperatura a la antigua usanza, la.fermemtación se interrumpe en invierno y se reanuda en primavera. — 7 years ago

Served double blind, the color was a brilliant, deep gold color and the bouquet was a touch wild with dried stone fruits and toasted almonds. On the palate, this came across quite fresh…and tropical! The predominate fruit character reminded me of dragon fruit a touch of lemon and an undeniable maritime influence in the form of ocean spray. The finish is bone dry and there is generous acidity. I actually found this to be even somewhat tannic? I figured there was a non-interventionalist approach to the winemaking. Regardless, I loved whatever this was despite really struggling to place it. Clearly, this was made in a more oxidative style but it didn’t really strike me as a Rioja. When this was revealed, I got really excited. I had never tried one of Luis Seabra’s wines before and now everything made sense. What a treat. Need more of this in my life! 100% Listán Blanco from vines over a century old. — 4 years ago
Bon, the Rioja I wanted was sold out so I selected this as plan B. Pretty good. @Anthony De Blasi — 6 years ago

This style is more in line with Rioja. Thinner and more elegant than most duoro’s. — 7 years ago

About $120. Balanced and easy to drink. Not too light but also not a fruit bomb. Right down the middle. Refined wine. — 3 years ago
