Lean, acid-driven, gripping and slightly mineral. Lots of tart lemon, with a kiss of oak. A solid wine, but needs more time. Glad they sell them in 3s. — 6 years ago

Notes of strawberry raspberry with savoury wild thyme aromas. A silky full bodied palate showing good intensity of cherries and plums. Still with a good future. NZ Pinot Royalty but have had better Block 3s. The winery now says Block 5 is just as good and priced accordingly. — 7 years ago

Layered smell with chocolate coming first then a light poke of alcohol. Very easy to drink, with only a hint of tannin, and refreshing aftertaste (2-3s) of mixed spices. Notes of cherry, blueberry (or maybe raspberry). Would be good to pair with light game (pigeon, rabbit) or heavier fish. — 2 years ago
