A lovely Austrian wine, apparently similar to a Pinot! Beautiful vibrant flavours...lovely with Austrian dumplings :) — 10 years ago
My favourite Austrian. Black fruit and liquorice. — 10 years ago
After only a few sips I'm entranced. Subdued smokey fruit, a bit of minerality and great acid, mild tannins. This is a well crafted wine. Will definitely get more of this. Excellent. — 11 years ago
Very Beaujolais-like. Lots of juicy pomegranate, blueberry, cranberry, and a bit of grape. Rose and violet potpourri, vintage lipstick, crushed oyster shell minerality. Bright, lifted, and very pretty with subtle chalky tannins. (This review is for the 2019 Iruai Shasta-Cascade) — 5 years ago

Quality Blau with a bit of age seems a life hack for a northern Rhone jones. — 8 years ago
Medium bodied, with seducing aromatics and an impeccable balance and great character. Dangerous drinkability. — 9 years ago

Tried a taste. 20 mins from Vienna. Great body. Taste of blackberries. Pairs well with short ribs. — 6 years ago
Lean & mineral, with quite high acidity, the typical iron streak and black fruit coming last. Herby and with a meaty, wet fur tone, too. Not bad. — 7 years ago
Appearance: dark, purple coloured, clear.
Nose: low intensity, youthful, with funk.
Taste: effervescent, off-dry, medium bodied, fresh acidity, low dry tannins with mild notes of funk, cola, and a short finish. — 8 years ago

Starts out on the wrong foot. Barnyard and aggressive CO2, but within 20 minutes was singing. Cherries and subtle licorice. Almost a milk chocolate sweetness, but like when chocolate is almost fruity. But not at all bitter. And has the sexy texture im starting to look for almost more than taste in determining quality — 5 years ago
