Wow- nice young wine!! We had "spiced-rubbed" chicken thighs, grilled, and served atop a variety of vegi's. The piment d'espellette, cumin & ground fennel seed was perfectly reflected in this young wine! Mmm! Hope BK thought it as perfect a match as I did! Classy new world style. No mistaking this for burgundy, but it isn't a buttered oak bomb. That said, there is a hefty dose of high toned oak here that is a bit much for my taste. Has vibrant fruit with good acid support. — 8 years ago

3L 1990 Chateau de Beaucastel Hommage a Jacques Perrin Chateauneuf du Pape Rhone blend. Wine for big Korean dinner. Amazing!!! Super cool to drink out of large format. We didn't decant (only for lack of time) and it was delicious. Drinking perfectly and was a great wine to drink w spicy and meaty Korean food. Tons of dark fruit, lots of complexity, and a super long, smooth finish. K and BK thought it drank perfectly. — 8 years ago

2012 E. Guigal LA Doriane Condrieu Viognier. Gift by BK on the way to Union. We had never heard of this wine before and were excited to try it. K really liked it- floral perfume notes and mineral as well. Very interesting. — 8 years ago
