Largest Champagne house in France, founded in 1743 by Claude Moët. Light Golden yellow with a bouquet of stone fruits with citrus notes and yeasty tones. Plenty of bubbles dancing in the flute. From about 200 crus this cuvèe is blended from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Complex fruit, apple and pear flavors, nutty tones and minerality bring this bubbly to a lingering finish ending with a distinctive chalky taste from the soil and some toasty notes. My son 14 at the time actually feel on the floor laughing!!
