Winetrip Veneto.
Visit of Graziano Pra where the focus is on Soave but they also have very good Valpolicella. Nice Amarone from a colder part of Valpolicella so higher in acidity . Beautiful venue incl lunch on their Monte Bisson location. Rating is for the complete tasting. — 3 years ago

Hebrart: Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. No formal notes. As the name suggests, this is a selection of Jean-Paul’s favorite sites. In this case, old vine sélection massale from: Faubourg d’Enfer, Pruches, Haut Varille, Croix Blanche, Maladrie, Beauregard, Ramonette, Bisson St-Loup, Côtes, and Sente des demoiselles. All 1er cru sites, obviously and roughly 3/4 Pinot Noir with the balance Chardonnay. It’s delicious. In the Hebrart style, this is fresh with loads of bright raspberry fruit, citrus and minerals along with great acid and good bubbles. Drink now through 2037. Disgorged April of 2021 and based off the 2017 vintage. — 2 months ago

Glera grape, frizzante with crown cap. Bone dry, lovely acid.. fresh citrus, saline, minerality, really good for a moderate price. Cool old world style, not much funk but refreshing. — 7 years ago
Wrong listing - not vermentino. Different varietal entirely. Bianchetta Genovese. Surprising. Bottle shop recommended knowing I like acidic and electric wines but not Sauvignon blanc under any circumstances. I get the tropical and salinity people mentioned. Great with dorade. — 3 years ago
This is a wine of intense subtlety. Deep golden color and tight, but medium acidity. The notes are complex and many, but they are not obvious. Starts with strong saline and brine. Then moves to mineral and stone, with underlying green apple, slight zest, and some minimal tropical notes. It packs a punch and requires a long time on the palate to fully open up and appreciate.
Jill says it tastes like lake water, but I disagree. — 3 years ago

Bisson “ü Pastine” Bianchetta Genovese 2023
Portofino DOC, Liguria, Italy 🇮🇹🌊🍇
Overview
A rare gem from Liguria’s Portofino DOC, made from 100% Bianchetta Genovese, an indigenous grape that thrives along the steep coastal vineyards overlooking the Ligurian Sea. “Ü Pastine” is one of the most authentic expressions of this variety, produced by the passionate winemaker Pierluigi Lugano of Bisson, who is committed to reviving local grapes and traditions.
Aromas & Flavors
Delicate citrus zest, green apple, and wild herbs 🌿 open the nose, followed by hints of white flowers and salty sea spray 🌊. On the palate, expect lively lemon, pear, and subtle almond bitterness, finishing with a crisp mineral streak.
Mouthfeel
Light-bodied, dry, and refreshingly zesty with vibrant acidity. The salinity and minerality carry through to the finish, making it extremely food-friendly and highly evocative of its coastal terroir.
Verdict
A bright, maritime white that’s perfect with Ligurian cuisine — think pesto Genovese, grilled seafood, or simple anchovies with lemon. Rare, refreshing, and terroir-driven, this bottle is a reminder of why Liguria’s native grapes deserve the spotlight. Drink now for peak freshness. — 3 days ago
