Well integrated Cabernet Franc. Dark plum and blackberry fruit flavors. Big hints of green pepper with notes of earth and slate. A bit of a medicinal flavor on the finish. Low acid and can be served chilled. One of their last Long Island vintages. — 6 years ago
Great complexity and balance. Big oak on the nose but clean apple and pear fruit on the pallet. Very fresh tasting. — 7 years ago
On the nose, ripe; blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, light tarriness, black licorice, dark earth, fresh & dry red florals. Palate is medium body, M+ tannins, tarriness, black currants, dry rocks, leather, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, dry stems, juicy raspberries, fresh dark florals with big round, rich, tannins and nice round acidity on the long finish. Very juicy. Like marmelade. Lots o red fruit, w light tannins. Can't really find the bell pepper dryness of a cab franc, but os very tasty. Not too long or big, but juicy. — 9 years ago
Possibly hypo allergenic too - big win — 5 years ago
This nose is big, and wafty.
Cinnamon and Blackberry, wrapped in freshly risen yeast.
A hint of a sweet, yet in a pie spice way, blackberry twigs and branches, touches of fireplace, and a harmonious relationship between the oak, and long live the acid!
Central Otago are my favorite Pinot’s as well as Tasmania. Perfect climate. — 6 years ago
The 2018 Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc comes from the hilltops above Marlborough’s Awatere Valley. It shows 12.5% abv and sells for $22. Erica Crawford says, “New Zealand’s signature varietal tends to be bold and big,” thanks in no small part to her husband. This wine, she says, “focuses on texture rather than enhanced aromatics.” It went through 25% malolactic fermentation in order to soften the wine. Sure enough, it’s tamer and fruitier on the nose than their previous efforts. The minerals are still there, but the sometimes overwhelming greenness is replaced by a great fruit flavor. The 2017 vintage is a little grassier on the nose and palate, but still mild in comparison to the earlier profile. — 6 years ago
Big fan of this organic wine! — 7 years ago

Big grapefruit taste upfront with crisp finish. Refreshing. — 8 years ago
I'm big on grapefruit and this one is it. Super bright, fresh, and intense. Loved it — 9 years ago
Have always been a big fan of New Zealand Chardonnays. This Neudorf has a very funky toasty nose with lees stirring in evidence. Owned by Judy and Tim Finn, nothing to do with NZ rock band , Crowded House. On the palate some vanillan oak and Buttery notes. Medium intensity and medium acid. A very well made Chardonnay with complexity at this young age. Bob Campbell a Master of Wine from NZ gave this 99 points. — 5 years ago
The second bottle from NZ trip. Singing. Big nose. Sandalwood with spice and dark fruit on the nose. Sweet, fruit forward, and very typical Gibbston flavour profile. Still lots of fine tannin left but fruit has fully evolved. Hot vintage? . Excellent. , — 6 years ago
Very fresh. Typical Rippon plumb and black cherry notes but much more angular and youthful than the big brothers. All the structure without much of the fruit. — 6 years ago
Hands down, my favorite Marlborough Sauvignon. Grassy, sassy, and a big “fuck you” to the establishment. This wine packs a brash punch but throws in enough sweet caramel to put the masses at ease. Total Wine, buy again to celebrate those moments that the younger generation decides enough is enough. — 7 years ago
On the nose, dark fruit profile of; blackberries, black cherries, black raspberries, cherries, poached strawberries, dry dark florals, dark soils with light volcanic minerals. On the palate, M-M+ tannins, black raspberries, raspberries, black cherries, blackberries, cherries, poached strawberries, black licorice, sweet lifting spices, strong; clove, nutmeg, cinnamon & vanilla, blue fruits round out the longer finish, big chalkiness, some leather & volcanic minerals. The tannins soften & fruits lean on the longer finish with good round acidity. Photos of another vista outside Queenstown, long shot of the tasting room and outside garden grounds. — 8 years ago
