Pours a thick dark black with almost no head. Chocolate, vanilla, coffee, molasses, and bourbon all playing nicely with each other with no one flavor overpowering the others. A very nice barrel aged stout. — 8 years ago
Bold and jammy, everything a good zin should be. Blackberries, blueberries and vanilla with a smooth finish — 9 years ago
Big and jammy. Great Zin. — 9 years ago
The good stuff, old school peppery black fruit zin, with rabbit tobacco and rain touched moss on the nose, adding to the old school Clapton blues rifts filling the air at my hometown local bistro (SoundSide; check the fresh locally grown organic vegetables and our ocean ahi sashimi/homecomings can be so sweet, like owner/operator Lauren) all so groovy😎, not unlike Ravenswood, itself/themselves...

Big jammy zin on a cool fall night. — 11 years ago
Excellent Zin. Big and bold. — 11 years ago
Great zin!! Big and bold, but not as fruity as many zins. Had it with a beef sausage Blue Apron dish. — 8 years ago
Big robust Pinot. Light silky mouthfeel with big and rich fruit. Blackberry in color and in taste. Jammy with a long lingering finish. Not a typical Pinot, drinks more like a zin/cab. Would give it a 9.0-9.1, but dinged it a bit given the price point. — 8 years ago
Big red fruit. Well structured zin. Lively tannins. — 9 years ago
Gotta love Ravenswood wines! Not a big zin fan but this is good. Not to dry either — 9 years ago
Big and fruity, but not overly sweet. A nice, full bodied and balanced zin. — 10 years ago
Big velvety zin. Sinful at 16.3%. — 10 years ago
Big, bold blackberry flavour with a spice to its finish. It'd be great with barbecue! — 10 years ago

Surprised by a red zin. So used to white zin that are fruitie that the complex flavor with more of a spicy taste won me over. I am a red zin fan. Light body with a big flavor. — 8 years ago
Damn, this 2014 vintage is now my favorite WA state Zin, period! Yes, it's hot (16.9%), but Zin is usually hot. This is packed with big, jammy black fruit that eases into sweet leather and peppery notes. This is freaking great!! — 8 years ago
Still one of my favorites from Paso Robles area. Big Zin from a fun biker themed bar. — 9 years ago
Tasty!! Sweet, very slightly dry, strong cherry notes, with a touch of cranberry, cardamom, and vanilla. The nose is extremely pleasant, full of cherry and oak. Very, very nice — 9 years ago
Big, jammy- my kind of Zin! Look for it on sale at World Market and it's a bargain to boot! — 9 years ago
Got a tremendous deal on this one. Nice expression of a CA Zin, look elsewhere for subtlety. Not the late harvest style, it's mostly dry despite its ripeness. 16.4% ABV allegedly, didn't taste as much heat though.
Winemaker's comment: Rich bouquet. Big, bright, ripe complex fruity flavors. Mouth filling. Balanced fruit and acid. — 10 years ago
Big Zin if you like big zins. And we do! — 11 years ago
I love zins, this is not a typical zin. If you don't like zins normally then hit this bad boy up. You might change your mind. — 11 years ago
Big, Bad Red!! — 12 years ago
