"After harvest, the hand-picked grapes are laid out to dry in hillside barns called "fruttai" to concentrate their flavor - a traditional winemaking technique from Roman times." Big full-bodied Italian red. — 10 years ago
We Aussies are rightly proud of our Shiraz and Shiraz blends but we have to take our hat off for a wine like this. An exercise in perfectly executed restraint. Some spice and a hint of pepper. Medium bodied. Notes made a few days later. A brilliant wine from Blue Hill at Stone Barns. 2006 vintage. — 10 years ago

Ron from VA
With the context of Virginia as the terroir for cab sav, this is a winner. Chocolate and Caramel swirl in a sturdy full-bodied offering made by Michael Shaps with grapes from Monticello AVA. Acidity and tannins are reasonable enough to balance with black, fruit forward for design. what makes this a complete wine and worthy of accumulation is the long satisfying finish. Yummy! — 9 years ago
