Funky juice! Plums on the nose, barns and hay with plums and apricots in the mouth. — 7 years ago
Bright red fruits, fresh cracked pepper, woodsy, earthy, delicious cab franc. Juicy and fresh but the earthiness keeps it grounded. Very balanced. — 7 years ago
Very nice auslese from Prum. Nearly 10 years of age and this is showing well. Restrained with just a hint of sweetness. Excellent pairing with a variety of early courses at Blue Hill Stone Barns. — 8 years ago

With our resourcED box from Blue Hill at Stone Barns w/ pheasant. Gave this about an hour of air and served with a very slight chill. Nose: dig a pit at the beach in the sand and a long baby back rib roast and maybe throw some grilled peach in there. Palette is multifaceted, dark chocolate covered cherries. A lil funk, cuz it’s sans sulfur, but not overbearing. — 6 years ago
Ano 2016 signature, smooth taste and balanced with vanilla notes. Perfect for some smoked ham or chourizo — 6 years ago
I liked it, it was good with spicy food. — 7 years ago
Excellent value from a great producer. Deep and earthy, bit more full bodied than you might expect. Aromatic and mouth filling with a long finish. Excellent choice from the somm at Blue Hill Stone Barns. — 8 years ago
Inky and rich. Compote and stewed dark fruits. Slightly warm finish hinting at the 15.4% ABV level. — 9 years ago

This is the moment when I realized that I can really enjoy and 89 point rating wine… There are technical reasons why this is not 90 points or greater for me, yet it was DELICIOUS! The beauty of this wind is it’s delicate treatment and the patience to let it air rate and open up like a gorgeous rose on the summer morning. There is a sensual Pinot like element that requires you to not expect the varietal correctness of Malbec. Rather, remember that it’s from Round Hill Virginia and the skill of Michael Shaps is at play here. This is one of those germs that you are glad you discovered and were thoughtful enough to buy more than one bottle ;) it will be exciting to see what 16 and 17th and it just taste like!! — 7 years ago
A classic style of Viognier full of juicy ripe peach, apricots, blossoms and honeysuckle. Full body, no taste of oak, long finish. Very good. — 7 years ago

Hands down my favorite domestic sparkler and at the quality level of many prestigious champagnes. Rich, complex and with racy energy showing bruised golden apples, baked brioche, salted hazelnuts and minerals. Finishes with terrific length and depth.
