No petrol on the nose. White & yellow florals, soft, subtle, fresh, citrus of; lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, light stone fruits and light, soft minerality. On the palate, such freshness of fruit; pineapple, lemon, lime, grapefruit, stone fruits, melons, gentle and soft minerality. The medium body & finish is pure, elegant, round, lush, exotic & sexy. Not to mention perfect acidity. Photos of another perspective of the properties sensational vistas, Sofia walking the grounds and the Cellar Door. — 9 years ago
Tasted at NZ cellar Pinot tasting. Light, savoury with nice acidity. Ted Lemon from Littorai is the consultant winemaker. — 9 years ago

This is an extremely unique Pinot. A good berry, red cherry nose, but an extremely dry, old, taste. Can't really place it but a delight to drink! — 10 years ago
Beautiful bold wine from north otago. It has the raw power of limestone combined with hints of raspberry and plum. Powerful aroma. Pick a meat that can stand up to the wine. It almost tastes like a Rhone blend in my opinion. — 10 years ago
Touch of Brett adds the perfect amount of spice. — 11 years ago
Crystal clear. Pure. Beautiful rendition of Riesling — 11 years ago
First time trying an old Felton Road and a Block 5 courtesy of Can. Forest floor, some black fruits. Great concentration with depth and intensity of flavour. Good length but never felt over-blown or heavy. Shows why this wine is an icon. 94 points — 11 years ago
I usually don't like pinos but this one is great with a balanced palate and a bit of depth — 12 years ago
Good classic Champagne taste. Pear and a bit of toast. Lots of fine bubbles. A bit foamy for my taste but well made and re freshingly crisp. — 8 years ago
Very light and fruity. A little boozey. A great summer red. — 9 years ago
Had at The Modern in NYC in 2015. Dinner for 1 after Tanya and Lena left. Sommelier-recommended for Pinot Noir lovers adventurous to try from less common regions. — 10 years ago
Lots of delicious red fruit and very smooth. Loved it. — 10 years ago
Maybe my first New Zealand Pinot. Very interesting — 10 years ago

Beautiful... One of the best NZ Central Pinot Noirs — 11 years ago
Typical New World Pinot, fruit forward yet dry, some tannins but drinkable now. Very enjoyable. — 11 years ago
Best of both worlds. Violets, cherries, dust light leather. Boozy! 14% I believe. Lies off after about 30-40. Super delicious and different. — 11 years ago
Sweet and subtle — 7 years ago
I really like this Pinot. Earthy-Terrific balance of spice, smoke and raspberry - but my balance favors smoke! $16 at Costco... I would pay twice. — 7 years ago
Can stand up to a BBQ steak, but still a classic Pinot on first taste. V good. — 9 years ago
Great cherry and lightly spice, well balanced and great value for money — 10 years ago
Great price for this quality! — 11 years ago
Light soft oak line, lemon, green apple, orange, bone dry acidity, mineral, wet stone, creamy, lovely finish, 2011 — 11 years ago
Still plenty of fruit. Sweet black cherry and spice. A nose reminiscent , strangely enough, of a Charles Hiedseick NV champagne — 11 years ago
Rudi knows his vines. Promising. — 12 years ago

Our friend Kelly brought this back from her trip to Oz and it doesn’t disappoint. Small production NZ Pinot with depth but not too much fruit so the top end finishes beautifully. Lots of tobacco and anise without being overbearing and one dimensional. I like the huckleberry side notes and enough earth tone to match up with some of the top Oregon Pinot that stays in the more traditional Burgundian style. — 7 years ago
