2012 Peter Michael Ma Danseusse Pinot Noir. Jaws at HB w J&L B and B&K K. No decanting. Tons of fruit. Easy to drink. Enjoyed. — 8 years ago
Deep in colour and looks like a big Auslese. Same as the 1990 but just a shade of mouthful sweetness. It’s still a pretty dry wine but hits the spot. — 8 years ago

1994 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w J&L B and D&M H while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and waited about an hour. Decanted right before serving. Tons of jammy dark fruit. Opened more in the glass. JB mentioned full palate and balance. Great finish. Preferred this to ‘91 Dominus once this opened up. — 6 years ago

1985 Sassicaia. Dinner J&D B at Best. Did not decant. Drank before the ‘82 Haut Brion. Excellent. John says it is the best Sassicaia he’s had. Tons of fruit- dark berries. Really rich and round and plush. — 8 years ago
This changed a few times over the course of 90 minutes. Eventually resulting in a very delicately perfumed wine with lime, white flowers, nectarine, and petrol. Medium acidity. Lighter texture on the palate. Great value, $65 on list — 8 years ago
Pretty serious wine, the prettiness almost overshadowed by a ramrod-straight backbone of acidity. Probably meat-friendly with the right preparation? — 9 years ago
