Nice and dry for barbera - more body than I expected. — 5 years ago
Summer apéro. Like someone else said, I don’t think I’ve had this grape before. Would definitely buy again. — 5 years ago
I love this Rioja , it needs to be decanted , fruity and full of flavour thst lingers on the palate. — 6 years ago
I usually avoid Chardonnay because I don’t like the buttery taste but this one is very nice. Light fruit, fairly dry, sand and slightly unripe white peach. — 7 years ago
I wanna have this with any of the pizzas from Speedy Romeos. Light but smoky. A year round pick — 9 years ago
Primitivo di Manduria. This very dark wine has a nose which I would call massive. Tremendous tar notes blend with the blackest fruit imaginable, pulling along aromas of black olives, leather, forest floor and smoke. The palate is just as savory, with black plum and berry flavors joined by black pepper, black cherry cola and a hint of cardamom. The tannins are fairly smooth. Pair this wine with any kind of meat or game dish. — 4 years ago
Perfect summer wine, picked up at Eataly Boston. It's the only Timorasso I've had the pleasure to drink, I still need to try the VIGNETI MASSA. Something of a cross between Erbaluce and Arneis (without the bitter almond finish). Bright and light, but with some slightly richer tropical tones... by no means a warm-climate white. Delicious! — 5 years ago
Very much enjoyed but something held it back from loving. I think it lacked a little richness to be really a top notch wine. That being said had a mild sweetness and bite and will definitely get again. — 5 years ago
Had this one in the cellar a while. A WTSO purchase. Better than what I paid. A fine Spanish Rioja — 7 years ago
Very smooth. Not too acidic. I enjoyed. — 8 years ago
Funny. Negroamaro is not known for its shelf life... but this 2004 is drinking beautifully. The classic deep dark plum, mixed with earthy, wet Forrest floor that I've come to expect from negroamaro. This grape is so silky in the mouth. I love it. — 9 years ago
Love this!!!! My only complaint is I wish it had a higher alcohol content 7% is way to low!!! — 9 years ago
"A dry spicy wine with lots of ripe fruit - blackberry, quince, plum and chaparral". I hope my consumption of this wine also lends me a greater chance of becoming a centenarian, like those who drink this wonderful wine in northern Sardinia. — 5 years ago
Sehr lecker, solo trinkbar, von Mom aus 🇮🇹 — 5 years ago
What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this wine it totally over delivers for the price! Almost all tertiary with hint of stewed red fruit. Def at its peak! 👍👍 Perf with a rib-eye on the grill on a summer evening as we try to find some joy during this sad time. 🙏 — 5 years ago
Drank at home with roast chicken. Such a good bottle. Sweeter than I normally like but didn’t mind — 7 years ago
How do I love Scarpa - let me count the ways. This is benchmark, elegant Barbara of the highest order. Smells of roses, mushroom and black pepper. Texture is so soft and appealing. — 9 years ago
Beautiful cherry aroma, full, fruity, a little vanilla, nicely balanced acid, but slight minerality at the end that I didn't love — 9 years ago
Samuli Jokipaltio
Bright and acidic. Wonderful pairing with crustaceans on the seaside at Dentomare. — 4 years ago
